Denise Miles, CPA, CGMA is the Director of Human Resources for Anglin Reichmann Armstrong. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. She has more than 30 years of experience in the accounting advisory industry, most of it spent in audit but also in small business and government contracting advisory and tax services.
Denise joined Anglin in 2015 and moved into administration in 2019. She is responsible for all firm payroll and benefits administration, which includes assisting remote staff with payroll and benefits in other states. She oversees the team’s performance management system. She also maintains the firm’s CPE requirements and multi-state CPA licensure reporting as well as the firm’s insurance needs. For legal issues, Denise serves as the liaison with legal counsel.
Human resources is a natural career step. Denise’s father worked in personnel for the U.S. Army, and her role at Anglin is somewhat like carrying on a family legacy. Her long experience as a public accountant also helps her relate to the team as they maintain and build their credentials. She enjoys making sure that Anglin is a welcoming place where people are consistently supported to reach their personal and professional goals.
